Smooth Hound Smith | self-titled
East Nashville's foot-stompin' duo comprised of Zack Smith and Caitlin Doyle. They perform their own folky, garage-infused rhythm & blues using foot percussion, fuzzed-out finger-picked guitar patterns, warbled harmonicas, boy/girl harmonies and tambourine. They recall the juke joint blues sounds of Southern Culture on the Skids or The Woggles with the addition of Americana radio gems on their debut self-titled album. [Artist Website]

Blair Crimmins and the Hookers | Sing-a-Longs
Dr. John and Preservation Hall have amalgamated a very astute protégé. While honoring his influences, Crimmins adds his own swinging southern panache with dashing youthful vehemence: rapid-fire lyrics and an audacious hair-tossing delivery. The band is solid, recalling fine players like Pete Fountain and Al Hirt. [Artist Website]

Blair Crimmins and the Hookers
| Live in Little Five (Goose Creek)

The live album recorded at the Variety Playhouse in the Little Five Points neighborhood in Atlanta is a rollicking representation of what you'd hear at a Hookers show. This album hit #22 on the F.A.R. Chart, as well as #22 on the EuroAmericana Chart, both in September 2013. [Label Wbsite]

Stewart Eastham | The Man I Once Was
“It’s my ‘L.A. to Nashville’ album,” explains Eastham. “As the song ‘Born In California’ exemplifies, my life has always been based around a series of dichotomies: city vs. country, intellectualism vs. street smarts, freedom vs. security. With the move to Nashville, that dichotomy became literal...” This album hit #10 on the EuroAmericana Chart in September 2013. [Artist Website]

The Steel Wheels | No More Rain
This is the latest from Trent Wagler, Jay Lapp, Eric Brubaker and Brian Dickel. No More Rain was recorded live at Stonebridge Studios (Leesburg, VA). This album stayed in the TOP 40 on the Americana Radio Chart for several weeks in April and May 2013, and hit #2 on the Folk Radio Chart in April 2013! [Artist Website]
